About us

   In July 2003 the development of the Titan-Piston "Racing" Pistons started for the kart-engines with 100 ccm.

It was a very great challenge, because the stress for these pistons is at rpm´s over 20.000 very high. After lots of reworked pistons, we decided to produce serial casted pistons with the special alloy composition-insert. In December 2004 we got the first casted prototypes from our supplier, the advantages have been significant after the first tests. The development regarding weight, expansion, geometry, thermic behavior etc. of the piston was continued and enforced with big pressure. But the strong winter in 2005 / 2006 delayed our test-runs on regular racetracks, which forced us to make lots of tests on a stationary test-bench. In parallel we had to organize several tests in more southern regions. And more, the decision of FIA / CIK with new engine regulations did cost us another month´s in development. These delays had big influence on costs and timing to come to market.

We try to produce our Piston environment-friendly. For this, we offer to our customers the possibility, to recycle the used Piston in our company.
